Beaches of Altea
Sand, pebbles, clear coves and the white old-town skyline: Altea's coastline is one of the most loved on the Costa Blanca.
Altea combines family beaches, sheltered coves and open-coast corners a short walk from the centre. From Multiservice Altea, a rental and sales agency in Altea since 1986, you are at the heart of the Costa Blanca to reach La Roda, Cap Negret, L'Olla and Cap Blanc with ease.
La Roda beach
Altea's main urban beach: a wide arc with a promenade, seasonal services and a family atmosphere. Ideal for swimming, sunset walks and combining a dip with a terrace looking over the bay.
- Best photo light: sunrise and late afternoon.
- Family-friendly, easy access from the centre.
- Combine swimming, walking and seaside dining.
Cap Negret
Between dark volcanic pebbles and turquoise water, Cap Negret feels different from sandy beaches. A photogenic spot with breeze and open horizon towards the Sierra de Bernia.
- Wear comfortable shoes for the pebbles.
- Great for stone-and-sea photos.
- Best early morning or late afternoon.
L'Olla
A more intimate cove, often with clear water, popular for snorkelling and quieter days than La Roda. Classic Costa Blanca scenery of rock and Mediterranean.
- Arrive early in high season.
- Excellent snorkelling near the rocks.
- At sunset the cove turns golden.
Cap Blanc
Beyond the urban beaches, Cap Blanc offers a more open coast, pale cliffs and a nature feel. The perfect contrast with La Roda: less urban, more horizon.
- Bring water and sun protection if walking.
- Ideal for classic white-coast photos.
- Combine with a coastal walk by season.
